Trip ni TJ sa US!

kemustas mga muchachos and muchachas?!

as menitioned in my last entry i said i'm going on a trip with El Familia. well yes i'm here and still on it. 1st stop was Chicago. was there to attend my cousin's wedding. medyo bitin kme dun. wanted stay an extra day but flight itinerary problems made us fly out the day after the wedding. but we were able to go around a bit.

right now we're in Michigan! Lapeer, Michigan to be exact. staying with my sister in law and so far have met all her 6 pinoy friends here. i think there are sersiously only 6 pinoys in the whole of Lapeer. this is about an hour away from Detroit. nice quiet little suburban town with lots of space.

weather a bit wet lang. parang dala ko ata ang ulan ng pilipinas. i brought the rains to chicago. and somehow it seems i brought it here too. and strangely, people here prefer to walk in the rain. altho ambon lang. as in walang mga payong! hindi ba sila takot masinat?!

can you believe i saw my sister in law's neighbor throw away a couch! =o i've heard of throwing away stuff you dont need nor want no more. but this takes the cake. and it looked decent too! i'd bring it home if i only could!

stay dry wherever you are!

Blog-Blog Daw, di naman nag-u-update =)

i didn't realize how tough it would be, to be consistent and update this blog every so often. well, for those of you who expected much of it, my apologies. for those of you who are seeing this for the 1st time, well thanks for stopping by! =)

i've heard of it before, starting strong. really gungho and ganado, but then fizzing out in the end. and no, boy bastos its not what you think. . . but honestly, i guess i'd blame it on wantiing to write too much or wanting to write an obra maestra all the time. duh. i guess its losing the whole essence of a blog right? just speaking your mind and letting the world get a sneak peak via the blog. thats just it

anyways, to use the usual excuse, tho it's true of course, work has been hectic. more like toxic. stories have been popping up left right and center, and i shouldnt complain. its a good thing for a journalist right? better than ending up dry.

tom i'm off to the airport! yup im going on a little break. 12 days to be exact, and exactly where? mamaya na =) pabitin muna.

hope this suffices as an "update"! and thanks for the hits guys! i swear i'll try to keep this interesting!

Hi, i'm TJ. what's yours?

yes that title is a joke. i'm not that dumb even if really don't know how to spell guinie pig (i refuse to use a dictionary). one day i'll learn. but better if actually see one. anyways, as the stupid joke title implies, i'm about to introduce myself to you. funny, i tried to put all of these in the "about me" in the "my profile" but i had no clue how short 1200 character was! so i decided to put it here and just leave the "about me" to be a "tip of the iceberg" thingy.

i've decided to start with work. and let you know where i've been, what i've done. and how i got to where i am, sort of. i'll add to this soon. i'll call it "Hi, i'm TJ. What's yours? Part 2.
how creative huh?
well, read on and look at my paragraph form resume. mind you kulang pa yan. that's just tv work. i did a lot of other stuff after school... oh school, that's another thing we can talk about some other time . . .

i've been on television for a little over 6 years now, geez time flies. i started out with ABS-CBN Sports' MBA as a courtside reporter. then moved quickly to Viva Vintage Sports to be a TV Analyst for the main Panel of the PBA games on IBC 13. Then a few years into it i shifted (more like morphed) into mainstream tv hosting as i got a gig on GMA 7's early morning show Unang Hirit. as i continued the Unang Hirit gig along with the PBA, i also dabbled a bit into the showbiz scene by hosting a talk show called celebritydatcom on ibc 13 with Dollyanne Carvajal and Angelu de Leon. that was an intersting experience. then i also got my crack at primetime news when i was the very 1st male anchor of a showbiz news segment on Frontpage (then the primetime newcast of GMA). then life moved on (away from showbiz =)) and i moved here to ABS-CBN mid 2004. i began my stint here hosting MUP, Sports Report on st23, and UAAP/PBL games. now wrapping up my 2nd year as a Kapamilya, i am now with Mornings@ANC M-F 830-11, St23's News Updates M-F 755 & 855pm, Kwentong Disyerto F 9am TFC Middle East and Sundays 10am on ANC, and the UAAP/PBL games tue-thu-sat-sun on St23. i also do reports for TV Patrol, Bandila, ANC, and St 23's News Central.
phew! now i know that's supposed to be a brief about me thing but i haven't even touched on me-me. it was just work "me" =)

my first blog! yahoo!

finally! it took an interview on air at mornings@anc to get me to get this done. i've been thinking about this for quite some time now but never got around to doing it. so now that i've been the guinee pig (did i spell that right?) for our blogging segment with j angelo racoma, i got around to doing it. they (ricky carandang and angelo) were supposed to give tips on how to start a blog and low and behold our exec producer ayen picked me as the geenee pig (is it spelled right now?)!

anyhoot, now that i'm here, in cyber space, i might as well get on with it. . . what can you expect from me? well probably anything under the sun. the bus driver that pissed me off, or that lack of clean air in metro manila, or the latest sports contreversy. for those of you who may not be aware, my beats for abs-cbn news are primairly sports and health. but i also dabble in techie and automotive news when they come about.

so there. i'll try to be regular with this (more than ricky who's on 2x a month!) as long as you guys stick around and read it. i'll try to be the funny (daw) witty guy i normally am. at least my familyh thinks i'm funny. but i'll try not to overdo it.

hang in there guys and keep watching mornings! till the next buzzer!

ps - someone on our show actually thought buzzer beater was a green/sexual term?! what an imagination!
